A man, a year, a blog: 2011

As I write this, New Yorkers – and folks up and down the Eastern Seaboard – are ringing in the New Year, 2011.

New Yorkers on New Years

As I celebrate the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 at home in Maine, I’m reminded of T.S. Eliot:

For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.

This new year, I hope that this blog will serve as my “new voice.” An online space where I can record my thoughts on everything from Washington DC to Washington state, from Harry Reid to Harry Potter. I’m glad you’ll join me in this new year, on this new endeavor.
